Flash, a Tucker son, my rock, my heart, my inspiration, and my first finals dog. He was the first puppy I kept from my first ever litter and the start of so many “firsts” I would have with this dog and the rest of my herding life. I miss him still every day although I believe a little of Flash was reincarnated into George. Both Canadian and ASCA Ch, and Dual Champion Herding Excellent in Canada – he earned every herding title there was at the time and continued until his 12th year to earn his Supreme Versatility Championship.
He was strong and agile and could handle any kind of stock although cattle were his favourite. He wasn’t as stylish a sheep dog or ducks but managed 4 years of ASCA Stockdog Finals over the years and 7th overall in Texas Most Versatility with a field of nearly 100 competitors.
Flash epitomized the Versatility Aussie. He did anything I asked and was always happy to do it. He never picked me as a pup – in fact I wasn’t sure till he was at least 4ish that he was the pup I should have kept. We learned a lot together and I can honestly say I’m sure there will never be another like him. And that’s OK even though George is trying. <3
In the ASCA conformation ring Flash finished his Championship under Gary Hawley, Mike Ryan and David Clayton.
