Wood is a gentle companion and a strong eyed working dog. His enthusiasm for cattle won him some expert photos flying through the air following a frequent habit of tail swinging. He came along the same time I was busy with three finals dogs for consecutive years so he never got his due in the trial arena. In spite of that, he was every ready to work and provided a useful stock dog on the farm.
He has a beautiful structure and earned a Canadian Championship quite easily. A beautiful head and soft expression, Wood was a son of Rook and Dyna. Due to a missing pre-molar and timing, we never used Wood for breeding. His sister Jet had a similar style of work and showed a lovely style on sheep.
Wood is only really semi-retired here at Tucker Creek Farm as he remains a useful chore dog and lovely couch companion.
